Why TAG

A working platform in a hollowed-out market.

UK heavy fabrication capacity has contracted materially over the last fifteen years. The tradespeople, supervisors and engineers remained in the region. The kit and the buildings did not. TAG was built to address that gap, on a stretch of riverside that backs onto the most concentrated heavy industrial cluster in the country.

Topside modules, offshore and onshore jackets, pipeline supports, deck modifications, manifolds and EPIC subsea project work are confirmed and funded. Demand is rising against a depleted supply base. Capacity that isn’t committed now won’t be available when the prime work hits the market.

TAG operates as a programme assembler, drawing on a stable network of specialist contractors and tradespeople rooted in the Teesside cluster. The model trades headcount risk for execution flexibility, and has been validated on contracts that demanded the simultaneous management of design, procurement, finance, fabrication and offshore commissioning.
